Yesterday marked the first round of Mac’s annual Chef of the Year competition, where teams of two chefs craft both a main course and dessert for our esteemed judging panel. We are absolutely blown away by the talent, professionalism, and creativity these chefs brought.
Each team of 2 had 20 minutes to cook and present their main course and dessert, which was then judged by a panel of mystery foodies. The judges had an extremely difficult job this year, due to the skill and standard of food our chefs presented.
Winners of round 1, move on to round 2 which will be held on the 1st October. The top 3 will them attend the Retail Awards in November where the winner will be announced!
The winning chef will win an all-expenses paid trip to a European foodie destination! Well done to all our contestants, and congratulations to those moving on to round 2!
