We are very proud to announce the opening of our most recent new build pub in Biggleswade. Opening its doors to the public on December 5th, The King’s Reach is the latest pub to join the Chicken & Grill concept, which now numbers 14.  The pub is named to reflect both the local area and the recent royal theme adopted by its sister pubs the Prince Louis, Princess Charlotte and Prince George.

“Several members of our team live in Biggleswade and they have long suggested that we should open a pub there. After a long search and build process we are delighted to have finally opened what we think is a great pub that will suit the warm and friendly community locally. We hope that everyone will be just as happy to see it being open as we are” said Heydon Mizon, Joint Managing Director.

Scott Rutterford-Byrne, General Manager of The King’s Reach stated, “I am thrilled to be opening McMullen’s newest pub! It has been wonderful to meet so many local guests during our recruitment and training days and my team couldn’t wait to open for business – it is an exciting time for all of us.”

A spacious and quirky British pub, The Kings Reach boasts a warm welcome with open fires, relaxed seating, a separate bar and dining area and a perfect place to bring your four legged friends. Behind the pub is a large outdoor area with sheltered and lit patios perfect for long summer evenings.

Heydon added “This is our most recent opening and follows on from other recent developments at the Prince Louis – Great Notley, Vine – Waltham Cross, Bull – Broxbourne and Hollybush – Loughton.  The Chicken & Grill concept was developed in 2008 by Mac’s as a small part of our diverse pub, bar and hotel estate. The next Chicken & Grill opening will be built in Cambourne during 2019 with the opening planned before Christmas. Meanwhile we remain focused on further new acquisitions to our estate.”
