If you are a weathered professional, flourishing amateur or just want an excuse to get out for an afternoon we have very exciting news for you. After much hard work, and a lot of help from mother nature we are ecstatic to announce the opening of our brand-new Par 3 9 Hole Golf Course at Chadwell Springs Family Golf Centre in Ware, Hertfordshire.
Family brewers McMullen & Sons have operated Chadwell Springs since 1974 with Dave Smith being our resident PGA Golf Professional since 2005.
The land is formed over chalk caves – it is the water in these caves that to this day is used in the brew of McMullen’s local ales after being pulled through and filtered by a natural chalk lined aquifer.
The redevelopment of Chadwell means golfing facilities improve as well as its landscape, planning habitat creation over 1.2 hectares in size and planting over 2,000 trees. The finished result, even if we do say so ourselves, is absolutely stunning.
Our sister pub, The King’s Mead has fast become an iconic pub in the local area of great quality meals and outstanding roast dinners, the perfect stop off after a round of Golf.
In the last year Chadwell Springs has opened a 56-94 yard Pitch and Putt range, Footgolf and 20 bay driving range with space for one to one coaching by the PGA professionals on site.
