A McMullen’s pub since 2021, and a staple of our London Pub estate – welcome to the Horse & Guardsman!
The Horse and Guardsman is a smart, wood-panelled, traditional London pub between Trafalgar Square and Westminster, previously the premises of bankers Messrs Cocks Biddulph & co. The pub’s interior mirrors that of a Victorian build with high ceilings, arched windows and plenty of space to enjoy a traditional pint in the heart of London.
Expect a relaxed atmosphere bursting with character as we create a range of contemporary and traditional cocktails with the freshest ingredients, serve bespoke seasonal dishes, and boast attentive service. Take a step away from the hustle and bustle of the city and give yourself a truly quintessentially British pub experience. 2 mezzanines are available for private booking and magically elevate you from the busy bar and ground floor dining areas.

Our raised and private mezzanine floors are a great space for larger functions, the front of which can be booked for 45 sitting and 60 standing. The rear comfortably holds 30 seated and 50 standing.
